MBRÓUD was created out of necessity.

After nearly a decade of living in Darwin, Amrit and I (Kaartik) came to understand what many locals already knew — most perfumes simply don’t hold up in the tropical climate. That’s when we started sourcing perfume oils from overseas — because they actually worked. Long-lasting, skin-friendly, and far better suited to Darwin’s weather, these oils naturally became part of our everyday routine.

What Darwin didn’t have was access to high-quality perfume oils and well-crafted fragrances made for these conditions. That gap became the foundation of MBRÓUD.

Today, MBRÓUD is proudly the Top End’s first custom perfume house — dedicated to premium perfume oils and personalised fragrances. Our creations are built around the warmth of amber and the depth of oud — rich, grounding notes that hold their character even in tropical conditions. Designed to sit close to the skin, each scent evolves gradually and lasts, where conventional sprays often fade.
